The Ouch Club

There is something very dark, mysterious and captivating about Ann Owens illustrations that draw you in for a closer look.

I have been a fan for a few years now and the picture to the left is my favourite.

Ann truly has an intriguing and kick-ass "about" web page section :) I recommend browsing the site when you have some free time.

Reality TV For The Web

I used this new Random Picture finder in Google Images and this is the first image I found when I used the tool. What fascinates me about the tool is that it pulls up random pictures of people’s lives that you get a chance to view and there must be millions of pictures all over the world that people thought nobody would see but not anymore! Like the one above...

Check out fotolog.net for a list of folks that capture their life via digital camera and upload them to their individual blogs. This is like reality TV for the web.

Maybe that’s the answer to the success of Blog’s – Reality TV For The Web

Look At Me I'm Cold!

What has a pretty woman who’s evidently very cold got to do with selling beer and formula racing? NOTHING!

But she’s in all the news pictures and on Yahoo’s F1 racing web site gallery. That dude standing next to her is Paul Stoddart - The owner of the Minardi racing team. He looks like he died and went to Heaven.

If want to sell more beer and F1 racing you need pretty women with tight tops and no bra’s

Customer Relationship Building Score = 0

I leased a new 2005 Honda Civic SE over the week-end and what surprises me is that Honda Canada does nothing to build customer relationships with new car buyers.

They do nothing at all! – Except for a courtesy survey call that you get from their Customer Relationship Manager when you buy/lease the car. To date not one customer survey that I have taken has resulted in any better customer service to me.

Their web site is designed with Flash and has all the essential aesthetic bells and whistles but no VALUE to their current customer base.

Honda if you’re listening here’s what you can start to do:

- Get new customers to register online
- Once signed in provide the new customer with discounts from your Honda Boutique
- Get the owner/lessee to enter in the car details so you can start a database to better server your customers in the future
- Once they enter in the car km details set-up a printable/mail-able Maintenance Schedule (This way you limit the customers you lose to 3rd party car service shops)
- Get the new customers to take an online survey to learn more
- Offer discounts on Service & Parts (Which would encourage customers to use Honda Service and/or upgrade their cars)
- Provide cool print posters/brochures exclusively for Honda customers

“Get Me Addicted to Honda”

I do give Honda props for have a Model Feedback form that allows a customer to provide Honda departments with upgrade recommendations/ideas to the car model of their choice.

Serenity Now, Serenity Now!

I’m loosing one brain cell at a time and I’m sure by the end of July I’ll have a gapping hole where my brain presently resides. What you ask is causing me all this stress and strife... I have personal projects that run parallel to my professional career (which isn’t a walk in the park either) that suck the juice right out of me. Listed below are some of them:

- Sell Acura with 140,000 km on it (Pay the dealer as little as possible)

- Lease a Honda for the least amount of money

- Get the best deal on Auto Insurance (Don’t even get me started on Auto Insurance – All the - providers suck ass – Total bastard parade if you ask me)

- Save for a condo (while paying my credit card bills)

- Organize a pre-approved mortgage

- Have a lawyer who can save my ass when all hell breaks loose

- Employ the services of a Realtor who provides me with value and knowledge (Bats for me and not the seller)

- Review my home buying strategy with my Accountant to get back a few dollars in the way of a tax return

- Reduce my total debt load (Paying off bad debt while managing a budget is pain-full)

- Streamline all my finances and banking through 2 or less Financial Institutes

- Save money for closing costs on the condo I plan on buying (or get the Government to accept magic beans as payment)

- Find all incentives & rebates available from the Canadian Government to keep my money with ME

Having to do all this shit a lone is a real pain in the ass. I wish I was rich and pampered and had lackeys to do my bidding (Hey a man can dream...) that would be the life.

The next few months are going to be a whole lot of fun and games. Watch out for Mr. Lobo running the halls screaming “Serenity Now!” with nothing on but sheep skin…

So I found myself down with the stomach flu over the last few days and it’s killer on the immune system and your overall body. My stomach would not retain anything! I have a newfound relationship for “Pink

I’m back but recuperating from the hellish stomach flu. Word on the street is that the flu pandemic is inevitable in North America. The bugs have now become “Super Bugs” and they are coming to get us… just like the “Farmers” did…

I feel like I’m being left out of all the fun…

I hear about all these wild emails doing their rounds in the office and I never get any of them… I’m being left out and I’m sure it’s a “brown” thing.

Lately I have been getting some funky SPAM porn emails disguised as a book-reading club… Is anyone else getting these types of SPAM email and enjoying them? :)

Have you ever blamed the “brown” guy? I believe there is a business trend sweeping North America that is based in the Blame the Brown Guy School of Management. Have you heard anything? If so do leave a comment for me…

CTV.ca | Air India judge begins reading his decision

It has taken nearly 15 years for a judgment to be passed on this case... Talk about a Joke! The Canadian Secret Service investigating this terrorist bombing bungled up the entire process and should be fired and replaced with NOTHING…

I heard two family members speak on CBC radio today and even after 15 years they are so calm and civilized about the whole event and the way it was handled by the Canadian Government.

I send them strength and courage on this crucial day.

Bride & Prejudice

I found myself at the Eglinton Center Cineplex watching Bride & Prejudice (http://www.brideandprejudicethemovie.com/) over the weekend. Bollywood has finally come to Hollywood not before making a pit stop in Britain.

The movie had a ton of slapstick humor and songs in English! That was kinda strange… the songs in English I mean. Check it out if you have an itch to see one of India’s most beautiful actresses (So the pundits say) and a hunky lead (So say my Girlfriend, Girlfriends Mother & my Mother).

To think that Britain once ruled (more like occupied!) India and now has become Little India Island itsef is funny and thought provoking. I wont be surprised if London is named Mumbai or Delhi soon!

I have been feeling under the weather over the last few days. Not sure if it’s the change in climatic conditions or the flu going around. I think it’s time for a holiday!

The Farmers, The Farmers Are Coming!

So Farmers in and around the GTA are converging on the city core during rush hour! Just frigging great… We are being invaded by the Farm People. Do you feel the beads of sweat on your forehead already? I say today could be a good time for some COW TIPPING.

My drive home today should be a whole lot of fun as one of the main Farmer convoys is heading down from Stouffville Rd. my exit from the Don Valley Parking Lot.

The Farmers are coming but are they bringing their daughters?

The Light's Are Out

So I get into work today and the lights are out in my section of the company... The fuse is busted and we have to wait for our OM (Office Manager) to get things right.

We finally got our white board walls set-up yesterday and they look sweet... I can't wait to do my next whiteboard presentation (Looser!)

Baseball & Me?

So it seems like I'll be playing Baseball this summer on my company’s team. This should be a lot of fun, cause I grew up playing Cricket with different rules and a completely different style of holding a bat. But I have been assured that I will be placed on the "Beginners" Team.

Blogging Metrics

I have been looking for Blogging metrics for two days now (Something free pls!). I need metrics that highlight the value of Blogs. But everywhere I look I come up with zilch, zero, and nada…

This phenomenon is mind blowing and now it’s got me hooked!!

On a side note: I have a big presentation coming up at the end of the week and guess what I’m talking about “Blogs”, which should be a lot of fun...

Till my next post keep Blogging!
